Ceramic Membranes for New Energy Industry

New energy industry is in full swing in recent years. Crossflow ceramic membrane and polymeric nano filtration and RO membrane technologies can been widely used in the production and recycling of new energy batteries:
*Salt lake Lithium extraction
*Production of LiOH and Li2CO3
*Production of LiFePO4
*Production of ternary precursor NCM/NCA
*Waste Lithium battery recycling
Membrane separation technology is widely used in Lithium extraction process. Potassium fluoride from salt pans is subjected to magnesium-lithium separation and lithium concentration process to obtain high-purity lithium-rich brine, and is sent to the lithium plant to produce battery-grade lithium carbonate. The membrane system is full-automatic, the lithium yield can reach 80%, and it is at the leading level in the lithium recovery from brines.

Process advantages
  • TFT high-precision anti-pollution ceramic ultrafiltration membranes are used for the  purification of the brine water. Effective in removing suspended solids, high water recovery, easy regeneration, long work life, stable performance under the complicated salt lake brine condition.
  • The special membranes are high efficiency in  magnesium-lithium separation with low magnesium content, unique lithium enrichment effect, low lithium content in the outer row, and low lithium loss.
  • The RO membranes are for concentration with high ion rejection rate, good lithium concentration effect and low energy consumptionand, and  without phase change in the concentration process and steam consumption.
  • The electrodialysis membranes are high concentration efficiency, stable performance, long work life, no need of chemical agents, low operating cost.
